Meet Lonnie Watkins
Lonnie Watkins is the owner, lead technician, and the only person you'll ever deal with at Watkins Mobile Oil and Fleet LLC. Lonnie has been working on cars since he was knee-high to a grasshopper, and his path to the oil change business wasn't a straight line — he's owned businesses in everything from repossession to tattoo shops. But since planting roots in Iowa, he's focused all of his skill and experience on one thing: preventative maintenance done right.
A certified, 10-year industry veteran with a full mechanic background and 6 years of operations management experience, Lonnie built this company to bring professional, rapid, zero-mess oil changes and fleet maintenance directly to customers across Hardin and Franklin Counties, Iowa.
At the end of the day, it comes down to this: most people have two major investments in their life — their house and their vehicle. Lonnie's job is to protect one of them, and to make sure every customer makes it home to their family safe and sound.

Why Our Veteran Program Matters
I had two older brothers serve in the military. My grandfather fought in three wars. Several of my closest friends have worn the uniform. I didn’t grow up reading about service — I grew up watching people I love leave, and come home changed, and go again. I believe, without reservation, that taking care of our veterans should be the priority of every citizen of this country, because everything we get to do — build a business, raise a family, live free — exists because they were willing to pay for it. So every veteran who calls Watkins Mobile Oil & Fleet gets free oil changes for life. No expiration, no fine print, no catch. It’s not a discount. It’s a thank you that doesn’t run out.
Our Community Commitment
Watkins Mobile Oil and Fleet is not just a business — it’s a community resource. We donate service to local fundraisers and nonprofit raffles, we buy our supplies locally whenever we can, and we hire local first as we grow. If a veteran in our service area can’t afford a service, we will find a way to help. As a Home Base Iowa county, Hardin County’s veteran community is already here, and we are proud to be part of that network.
